Our Olive Groves: Where Climate, Soil, and Heritage Meet
Our olive groves are located in the historic and fertile region of Messinia, specifically in the area of Kampos Exochikou, near Filiatra. This is one of Greece's most traditional and oldest olive-growing regions, renowned for producing exceptional quality olive oil.
The uniqueness of the area is attributed to its distinctive microclimate and fertile soil, which have historically provided the olive trees with great resistance to diseases and pests.
This natural protection significantly contributed to producing superior-quality olive oil, even before modern agricultural protection methods were developed. Messinia boasts a rich, centuries-old olive production history, supported by numerous archaeological findings.
A notable example is the giant storage jar for olive oil from the Palace of Nestor, exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Pylos. This heritage adds depth and authenticity to our olive oil's story. Manolis Family produces monovarietal olive oil exclusively from the Koroneiki variety.
The Koroneiki olive is regarded as Greece's premier olive variety for oil production, distinguished by its exceptional resistance to the region’s dry, warm climate, yielding an exceptionally aromatic, flavorful, and high-quality olive oil.
